| Also known as the Pale Arctic Clouded Yellow, Colias Palaeno is a holarctic species, which ranges through the northern areas of North America, Europe, and Asia. This one was seen and photographed along the Little Coal Creek Trail, in Alaska's Denali State Park, on June 23, 2004. It was nectaring on Alpine Arnica (Arnica alpina angustifolia) on the tundra at the upper elevations of the trail. |
