C. g. bourreti comes from central Vietnam and neighboring areas of Cambodia and Laos.

This subspecies tends to have a shell that is more domed and round than the nominative form. The dark medial band extends through the front marginal scutes. There are usually dark lateral bands on the coastal scutes as well. The light colored, thin stripe down the vertebrals that is present on other subspecies tends to be very indistinct or completely absent on bourreti.. The plastron would have dark spots on each scute, on a yellow background.
